The MULTIPLEX COCKPIT SX 12 sets new standards in the field of 12-channel handheld transmitters. Touch, control and fly with the operation like a smartphone! This makes the Multiplex COCKPIT SX 12 easy to program through its app icons on the colour touch screen. The new software SAFE-LINK, in combination with numerous new software features makes this the 12 channel transmitter to have.

The model assistant guides you intuitively through an ingenious touch concept with clear screens and many self-explanatory graphics. Easy-to-read TFT colour display screen (even in bright sunlight) 3.5 ", 320x240 pixels, with automatic day / night switching. Transmitter operating time of up to 24 hours is possible.

Unique in this class is the intuitive control of functions via motion sensors (position or rotational speed sensors). For example, for camera movements, triggering speech output etc. Move the transmitter in a pre-determined direction and you can trigger certain functions to take place.

The Multiplex COCKPIT SX 12 is ergonomically designed so it is easy to hold for extended periods and all the controls fall easily to hand. Back channel / Telemetry:

When using a telemeter capable receiver, the current voltage of the receiver power supply is displayed on the display of the transmitter. If an adjustable minimum voltage is exceeded, an acoustic signal warns of a draining receiver battery. Without a sensor, the connection quality (LQI) on the transmitter display can also be displayed in % values. An additional security solution ! In addition, up to 8 telemetry data outputs can be displayed on the display (depending on the sensors connected to the receiver, eg voltage, current, temperature, etc.) (application examples: motor temperature, drive voltage, current consumption of the drive). The storage of the telemetry data can also be found in the model with the optional MULTIPLEX Flight Recorder (# 8 5420).

Wireless teacher / student operation:

Downlink channel / Telemetry

If a telemetry-capable receiver is employed, the actual voltage of the receiver power supply is displayed on the transmitter’s integral screen. If the voltage falls below a (user-variable) minimum value, an audible signal is emitted as a warning that the receiver battery is almost flat. The radio link quality (LQI) can also be displayed on the transmitter screen as a percentage value - without requiring a sensor.

An additional safety advantage!

It is also possible to display up to eight telemetry values from the model - depending on the sensors connected to the receiver, e.g. battery voltage, current, temperature, etc. - on the screen. Typical uses: motor temperature, flight pack voltage, motor current drain. The telemetry data can be stored in the model using the optional MULTIPLEX FlightRecorder (# 8 5420). Wireless Trainer mode operations

In its standard form the COCKPIT SX M-LINK can operate both as Teacher and Pupil transmitter. The other transmitter - Pupil or Teacher - can be any M-LINK transmitter with Trainer facilities. The optional COPILOT module (# 4 5184) is required for Trainer mode operations. The COCKPIT SX provides selective Trainer mode. This allows full control transfer to the trainee or - depending on the trainee’s skill level - the transfer of individual control functions. The Teacher can resume control of the model simply by moving the sticks. Dual-Rate and Expo can be set up separately for each flight phase for three axes (aileron, elevator, rudder) plus Expo for throttle.

Downlink channel / Telemetry

If you are using a telemetry-capable receiver, the receiver battery's actual voltage is displayed on the transmitter screen. If the voltage falls to a (user-variable) minimum voltage an audible signal provides a warning that the receiver pack is discharged. The radio link quality (LQI) can also be displayed on the transmitter screen as a % value without additional sensors. An extra safety enhancement! It is also possible to have up to fifteen items of telemetry data from the model displayed on the transmitter screen, depending on the sensors connected to the receiver, e.g. voltage, current, temperature, etc. Typical applications: motor temperature, flight pack voltage, motor current.

Low latency / high resolution

A digital interface to the RF module ensures extremely fast, accurate, high-resolution transmission of the control signals. The ROYAL SX M-LINK operates with a servo frame rate of 14 ms in twelve-channel mode (alternatively 21 ms in sixteen-channel mode) with 12-bit resolution (3872 steps). Switchable Normal / Fast Response: the frame rate can be changed to 21 ms in case 14 ms is too fast for the servos in the model.

Quick conversion

If you wish to continue to use your old stock of receivers exploiting conventional FM technology (PPM, M-PCM), that presents no problems: the ROYAL SX M-LINK can be converted in less than a minute - even at the flying site. The HFM4 M-LINK 2.4 GHz RF module with 2.4 GHz aerial is simply swapped for the existing FM RF module, and the long telescopic transmitter aerial replaced.
