From the manufacturer: After a long development phase, we present the Freestyler 6, a model that incorporates current developments in classes F3B and F3F with a completely new surface design by Andreas Herrig.

We remain true to our tradition of sensible fleet maintenance, backed up by diverse experience from top international pilots. The significantly thinner profile of the "6" required a revision of our TUD-LDS system. It also holds true that all freestyler parts from FS 3 to FS 6 remain compatible with each other, so that there is no limit to the pleasing combination of all parts by creative pilots and economic handling is also supported, including "old" parts. An asset that is valued by many of our customers.

Of course, the new electric fuselage can also be used on the 6 series.

Freestyler 6 Carbon is the standard F3F/F3B layup

Freestyler 6 Double Carbon is stronger and heavier for slope racing F3F

Freestyler 6 Competition is a lighter, high-end F3B version

The undoubted flagship of the F3B and F3F classes is the Freestyler family. Having been on the market for many years already, the dominance of these models remains undisputed. Advancements in the areas of wing and fuselage layup with the help of introduction of new materials, elimination of wing linkage play and stiffer rudder linkage, as well as adjusted setups show that this latest version, Freestyler 6, is ready for the trophy stand! The Freestyler 6 is mainly targeted at F3F flying. It starts to excel over the Freestyler 3. 4, and 5 in the sub-40 range, increasingly gaining advantage the faster the times get. This is not only enabled by lower straightaway drag, but also improved turn performance at those speeds. A much easier snap-flap setup allows the intermediate pilot to extract higher performance more efficiently. Also the free-time pilot, not bound to a 30-second time limit after launch, will enjoy the higher top speeds after a climb.

Freestyler 5

Meet the Freestyler 5, the hottest design evolution of the Freestyler family! Designed by Andreas and Martin Herrig of Germany. Andreas and Martin have been FAI World and European Champions several times in the past and have also proved their prowess in many different international competitions in F3B, F3F and F3K classes all over the world.

Our FS-5s include all the add ons: Wing bags, ballast, wiring harness and LDS for MKS 6130!

Variants:

Freestyler 5 Carbon is the standard F3F/F3B layup

Freestyler 5 Double Carbon is stronger and heavier for slope racing F3F

Freestyler 5 Competition is a lighter, high-end F3B version

The undoubted flagship of the F3B and F3F classes is the Freestyler family. Having been on the market for many years already, the dominance of these models remains undisputed. Advancements in the areas of wing and fuselage layup with the help of introduction of new materials, elimination of wing linkage play and stiffer rudder linkage, as well as adjusted setups show that this latest version, Freestyler 5, is ready for the trophy stand! A much easier snap-flap setup allows the intermediate pilot to extract higher performance more efficiently. Also the free-time pilot, not bound to a 30-second time limit after launch, will enjoy the higher top speeds after a climb. Despite the slightly more aggressive Freestyler 5 chord distribution, a gentle stall behavior, which TUD-Modelltechnik designs are famous for, is retained by appropriately shaping the airfoils in the FS5’s outer wing. Wing sweep was marginally reduced to benefit torsion at high g-loads. The Freestyler 5 is a direct result of pilots requesting a model sized between the Freestyler 3 and 4 with a wingspan of 2.94 meters and a wing area of 57.74 dm². The Freestyler 5 is not necessarily a replacement for the FS-3 and FS-4, but an extension of their main area of application. The FS-3 and FS-4 are high performance all-around designs which excell in weak and medium conditions (not by chance, they have bagged World and Vice World championships in F3B). If you already own a FS-3 or FS-4 you may be pleased to discover that all parts can be combined with the FS-5 – so you can also fly different fuselages and tails according to your personal preferences or gradually transition to the new FS-5 possibilities from your existing model. One could imagine the Freestyler 5 being flown in F3B now and then on windy days where a higher speed at the cost of a little bit of maximum lift could very well pay off! The significantly slimmed fuselage of the FS-5 not only promises aerodynamic advantages, but also contains a few neat construction solutions. Despite its quite minimal cross section, special servos are not required. The standard micro servos like the MKS HV6100 MG or S3155 should fit. These are more convenient if you have a receiver which is wider than a GR16 (21 mm) and has to go behind the receiver battery. The fuselage is designed for 2 round cells of 18650 size like the Panasonic 18650 Li-ion.Also in the wing some details were changed to enable an easier completion. The servo bays are now 5 mm wider. (Recommended servo is the MKS HV6130 wing

Jedi F3F

Our latest F3F model. We left wing base depth 220mm, the same as Fosa Lift, but we have redesigned wing tips for better agility and turning performance. The aim was to create a model, which is easier to control and has better direction keeping. However it was long journey to the final version. Whole season we tested many Jedi prototypes – various fuse lenght, wingspan, V-tail angle, elevatore size etc. Nearly each competition in the season 2013 we flew another modification of Jedi. Airfoil is designed more for speed performance. Thanks to the frame design, the stability, we also have achived the same result during launch as Fosa Lift, which is highly aclaimed for the performance during launch and duration. Competition results make us happy. Frequently the pilots of Jedi are the fastest ones like Reinhard Liese in Nardt 2014 or Thomas Dylla in Kircheim 2014. Andreas Böhlen also flies Jedi in season 2014 and he won Nardt and after the competition he is the leader of FAI World Cup F3B 2014.

Construction of model is fully composite with carbon in all stressed parts. For wingspar is used high modular carbon with very low ductility and kevlar honeycomb, which resulted in light and very stiff construction. Also fuselage is almost 100% carbon composite with 2,4 GHz friendly nose and nosecone. If requested we are able to prepare extra strong fuselage with double UHM carbon. The surface of the model is coloured by car-colors - please see used colours in our company. We can offer you possibility of any personal colour design you would like in addition to our standard colour schemes. All versions are ready for RDS assembling to wings and come with RDS linkage and wiring harness. On request we can prepare LDS for flaps. Also possible to order completed model with installed servos, cables, battery pack, etc. - you only put receiver and fly. Please see detail of complete finishing service. The price include all accessories for servo assembling (4 x RDS set, cables, connectors etc.), carbon pushrods, servo covers, ballast set. Padded foil bags for the entire model also included. For finishing the model you need only RC equipment (servos, reciver...) and 5 minutes epoxy. Only please specify in order what type of servo frames we should send with model.

Pitbull F3F

Pitbull is our first model, which is specially designed for F3F competition. However it can also be used in F3B category and some pilots use it in F3B successfully. Idea of Pitbull came from tests of one F3B profile. During the hundreds hours of testing we noticed that the profile is incredible fast in turns. So it suggested itself that the profile is ideal for task in F3F with large number of turns, where the turning performance is essentials. The model is produced in both F3F and F3B lay-up. Please see below details of standard versions - F3F strong, F3F light and F3B. Double or triplecarbon F3F version on special request.

Pitbull is flown by some pilots in season 2014 and the results are fantastic. Pilots flying with Pitbull like Lukas Gaubatz, Filip Kalensky and Martin Ziegler are top ranked in CONTEST results F3F 2014.Construction of model is fully composite with carbon in all stressed parts. For wingspar is used high modular carbon with very low ductility and kevlar honeycomb, which resulted in light and very stiff construction. Jaro Muller Espadita

Espadita is the long awaited new molded two meter model from Jaro Muller., we first heard about the Espadita 3 years ago, and when we talked to Jaro and he explained to us he was using new technology. We twisted his arm to get as much information as we could, but we were left extremely excited waiting to see what it was. When Jaro Muller says new technology we know it is something special and to say the least . Jaro's mind just works differently than anyone else's and we are very lucky to have him designing models for us. Two of the goals when designing a new model is to have it as fast and easy to build as possible, and then have as much of his mass centered on the CG as possible. With the Espadita, he achieved both of these goals and he came up with a system called Full Integrated Servo Drive (FISD). He wanted a system that had no external linkages, like RDS but Jaro's special RDS, and a system that allowed him to move all the mass of the servos to the center of the wing. Try and figure that one out, and you will see why this model was two years late. Integrated Servo Drive has both the servos slide into a pocket molded in the root of the wing . The aileron servo gets pushed in first and slides to meet up with an round aluminum servo arm, then you put a set screw on each side and the servo is in and ready to go. It drives the aileron using a torque rod from the servo arm to another connection where it meets up with a push rod made out of G-10 that drives the aileron. The whole system is, of course, made smooth with ball bearings. That part of the system is all set up so all you have to do is slide your servo in and put in the set screws. The flap servo then slides in to the pocket with the aluminum arm already attached, then you slide the G-10 push rod through the wing and attach it to the servo arm using a pin. You then put the pin through the flap and add a few pieces of wood to hold the ball bearing and you are ready to go!! The Espadita is in stock and available now from Hyperion Australia
